What we do
Throughout the year, we offer different community-building opportunities to individuals and families that live in our area. Community building takes many forms, but through the practice of Asset Based Community Development, we create space, events, and support based on needs and ideas brought forward by members of the community. This includes but is not limited to programs like Community Family Group, Drop-in, Forms 4 You, and Art Drop-in.
Currently, due to COVID-19, many of our in-person events and programs are on hold. However, we are actively working towards connecting with and supporting community members in adapted ways.
- Facilitate and organize community programs and events focused on creating deeper connections to the community at large, knowing where to go for help, peer to peer advocacy, and minimizing social isolation, for example, Community Family Group.
- Organize and facilitate opportunities for community members to identify & solve problems through engagement.
